Malinese Air Force helicopter [Exercise Flintlock ‘05]

Bamako, Mali, 08 June 2005 — A Malinese Air Force helicopter departs base located near Bamako International Airport, Mali, as U.S. Air Force Airmen assemble their MH-53 helicopters, during Exercise Flintlock ‘05. During this year’s multi-national exercise, Mali joined the United States in a series of military exercises conducted throughout the Trans-Saharan region of Africa, with concentration on ground and air operations, land navigation, human rights training and security operations. Other countries include Algeria, Senegal, Mauritania, Niger and Chad.
