Westland Sea Lynx

Mediterranean Sea, 07 October 2005 — A United Kingdom Royal Navy HMA 8 Lynx helicopter flies near the U.S. Sixth Fleet flagship USS Mount Whitney (LCC 20) in the Mediterranean Sea during exercise Destined Glory (Loyal Midas) 2005. The exercise is a medium-scale NATO amphibious live exercise designed to certify selected NATO units and assigned forces. U.S. participation is to enhance the training for NATO partners, provide training for U.S. forces and to show U.S. commitment.
