U.S. Navy MH-53E Sea Dragon

Gulf Port, Missisippi, 01 September 2005 — A National Guardsmen from the Biloxi, Missisippi area, loads a pallet of ice into the back of a U.S. Navy MH-53E Sea Dragon helicopter, assigned to Helicopter Mine Countermeasures Squadron Fifteen (HM-15), at the Gulf Port International Airport. HM-15 is currently embarked aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5) and providing assistance to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. The Navy’s involvement in the humanitarian assistance operations is led by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in conjunction with the Department of Defense.
