MH-60S Knighthawk

Indian Ocean, 06 January 2005 — An MH-60S Knighthawk helicopter assigned to the “Gunbearers” of Helicopter Combat Support Squadron Eleven (HC-11), lifts off with a cargo net of relief supplies, from the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6). Helicopters from Bonhomme Richard and Sailors and Marines assigned to Expeditionary Strike Group Five (ESG-5) are supporting Operation Unified Assistance, the humanitarian operation effort in the wake of the Tsunami that struck South East Asia. The Bonhomme Richard Expeditionary Strike Group is currently operating in the Indian Ocean off the waters of Indonesia and Thailand.
