Atlantic Ocean, 19 April 2006 —
A U.S. Army MH-47 Chinook, assigned to the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment lands on the
flight deck aboard the amphibious assault ship
USS Wasp (LHD 1)
during flight deck qualifications. The MH-47 Special Operations Aircraft is a long distance, heavy-lift helicopter,
which is equipped with refueling capability, a fast rope rappelling system and other upgrades of specific equipment.
