USS Bataan (LHD 5) 23 January 2007 — A U.S. Navy Sailor guides a U.S. Marine Corps CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter aboard amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5) during a carrier qualification evolution , while under way in the Mediterranean Sea. U.S. Marines assigned to the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit are embarked aboard Bataan as part of a deployment in support of the war on terror.
