USS Essex (LHD 2), 03 February 2007 — Helicopters of Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 265 (Reinforced) board the flight deck here, to continue their role as the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit’s aviation combat element. As one of the squadrons that make up the MEU’s ACE, the Dragons enhance any mission by lifting and traveling more rapidly, directly affecting the MEU’s operational tempo.
