Emergency medical personnel
from Cairo West Air Base, Egypt, load a patient into a waiting medical evacuation helicopter. This was just one of the steps involved in the mass casualty exercise that took place during exercise Bright Star '99. The exercise allowed emergency and medical response personnel to practice their life-saving procedures.
